About the Event
Come to this training to learn about the impact of behavioral and psychiatric labels placed on child victims of trafficking. Jen shares what happens when no one asks, "What is happening to you?" in the midst of medical interventions intended to help a child heal, but actually leaves them misdiagnosed and misunderstood.
This virtual event will explore a survivor's trafficking experience as a teenager, highlighting the red flags that psychiatric hospital professionals ignored. The session will provide insight into these overlooked indicators to help improve identification of familial trafficking situations. Jen provides a framework for support for survivors of familial trafficking.
